I missed it!

> I've had that experience in one place or another so many times, and I'm
> don't play music, I work for some bank. Don't it always seem to go?

The weird thing for me is that I've done the dry gas tank thing THREE TIMES
this year, starting with the time I really did run out of gas 50 miles south
of Albuquerque. Just spaced out and forgot to stop for fuel. So you'd think
I would be MORE vigilant after that, but no.

Happy new year, everybody!

First things first: Rita is a few days away from her last dose of Strong
Medicine, and the doctor is confident that it has done its job. We're
looking forward to a return to what passes for normal life around here. And
we are hugely appreciative of the good vibes and kind words we've received
from all over. Thank you!

I am very happy to be returning to my musical life in the new year. I've got
three shows in the Bay Area this month; a short southwest tour in February;
and a southeast trip in March and April, parts of which will be recorded by
Charlie Miller for a new live CD.

I'm also happy to report that I've completed a new song with lyrics by Robert
Hunter and am at work on another.

 TONIGHT!

Sunday, January 25, 9:30: David Gans and Joseph Langham at the Connecticut
Yankee, 100 Connecticut St, San Francisco

I'm not sure what the price is -- $7, maybe?

Joseph Langham is a singer-songwriter from Flagstaff who also fronts a band
called Each Others' Legend. I really like his songs, and we also bond over
 Gram Parsons material.
