<waves frantically at Uisgejack> I am missing you, silly Tara person!
 How was your trip?

Michelle--fab photos! I love your tats! I'm another person without
any, but I think they're cool. And yours are extra groovycool (my new
favorite word) 'cause of the Celtic influence.

Vegemite doesn't scare me (much), but of all the odd comestibles we
have discussed, the cobra wine was the one that made me go," Ah, no can
do". I think it was the thought of the cobra looking back at me from
the bottle that did it. Eeek.

Ed Foley still rocks.

And Bono's on the cover of Time. Can anybody say Nobel? If not this
year, some year soon--that's my prediction.

Can we see about getting Tara hired as the casting agent for GO? I
*like* the movie in her head.

Hi, Kelly! Welcome back!

OK, pooped. Crashing nowzzzzzz...

<the-roane>, you are quite welcome. It seemed appropriate and all.I
will warn you though, that I am a psued-slut and have been known to
change them at the drop of... well, something that one drops. Like
strapless evening dresses. Or pants.

Or vegemite.

Have a pleasant time buggering off. :-)

Michelle- Wow! I love those photos. Wow! (and that seems to be all I
can say about it. Wow.)

Kelly- Welcome back! I should check out those books you
mentioned...just when i start to think that I'm getting the hang of
things, I realize that I have no idea what I'm doing.

I've been obsessed with Europe lately. I've never been there, but I
keep feeling like I *need* to go. I've always wanted to go. This August
the restaurant is closed for month so that would be the perfect time.
I'm trying to find some cheap airline flights....I've already picked
out the hostels I want to stay in. Good Gravy. I hope I'm not getting
my hopes too high. I hope I can afford it!

Erynn, who just realized she's been a member of the Well for over a
year now!

For as long as I can remember, Mom had refused to take any of us in
for flu shots. Regular Dr. and Dentist checkups, yes, but never flu
shots. She finally explained to me a few years ago that she has always
had an irrational fear of them - she said that she suspected the flu
shots of containing other things, which is why the government tries so
hard to foist them on the public. When I asked her what she thought the
government was putting into flu shots, she said she didn't know, but
maybe it was a tracking device, or enough of a certain kind of virus or
disease to make you come down with something for which you'd have to
buy a special medicine, the makers of said medicine being partners with
whomever it was in government who had orchestrated this vast scheme.

Mom's a little strange sometimes. But I'm starting to wonder whether
or not she was on to something when I read things like this. Hmm.

The Other Dan - Happy birthday!

Madman - if you bring it... you have to promise not to leave it.

Erynn - Good luck on the europe trip. I was planning on doing some
traveling this March, but then I went and got cast in another show.
It'll happen eventually,though.

Maure - that terrifies me to no end. I have absolutely no faith in
governments and powerful business to not abuse this in every way
possible. This kind of stuff makes me want to run away to an island too
small and strategically unimportant for anyone to worry about and just
hide.

I think I'm going to chalk this up to data entry error... but won't
pre-order lest I end up with something other than what I want.

Erynn,... luck with Europe. I've been trying to go for a while, and
finally decided I just couldn't afford it the way I wanted to. Still
wanted to go somewhere whil unemployed, tho, so I now have in my
possession two roundtrip tickets to Costa Rica. :-) Should be fun!

Try www.orbitz.com , www.travelocity.com and all the other sites like
that for cheap tickets. You might also want to check out the individual
airlines, for specials that involve air and hotel.

E-mail from Ladymisstree:

Martha--I've been on an Alan Rickman kick for the longest time and would not
give it up ever. I only wish I could manage the time to see him onstage here
in London. But my stupid client has me working from 9am to 10pm five days a
week which means I need to cram all my sleep and my sightseeing into the
weekends. Except for today which I spent in bed after being whisked off to
hospital last night with a nasty case of anaphylactic (sp?) shock. Adrenalin
injections=baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. :(

Michelle--Love the photos, and LOVE the hair! I especially like the one of
you smiling over your shoulder, you look utterly fabulous.

Madman--Listen to Michelle. You eat vegemite in very, very tiny dabs,
preferrably on hot toast with loads of butter. There is no other way. I
should know, I'm an expert.

Erynn--this trip, I only managed to see London, but that taste was enough for
me to know I MUST come back and I must come back soon. London is just
magical. I need to allow extra time when I walk from place to place because
I'm guaranteed to see something that mesmerises me and makes me late for
meetings and stuff. But at least I can blame it on the tube.

For those thingies here, I've managed to hook up with Maria and do a 'From
Hell' walking tour of London. We didn't quite manage to describe a pentacle
and we got very, very wet, but Hawksmoor's churches are just weird and wrong.

And I think I've crossed off all the tube stations and venues Neil mentions
in Neverwhere. Except the Belfast, but then I went to the food hall at
Harrods instead. ;>

The vegemite was a gift from a friend of mine who is visiting the states
from Australia. She spent one night here on her way further inland and gave
me the vegemite as thanks for hosting her.
She'll be heading back through, and spending more time, at the end of March.
I may save the vegemite until then, open it with her, and have her show me
how to eat it properly.

Meeting people in the flesh for the first time after several years of online
friendship is sometimes awkward, frequently amusing, and always (so far)
nice. I'm sure no one here can relate at all. Nope. :>

Thanks everyone for the good lucks:)
The cheapest tickets I've found so far are $550 (round trip) which is
pretty darned good. However, my husband just has to get a new keyboard
costing $1,600. And I suppose we should buy a car one of these days.
Not to mention....we'd like to move to Portland. Argh. I will do
everything in my power to find the money to go though. I just ordered
an abundance of British teas, so now I can have fun tea parties and
*pretend* I'm there, at least.

Danw- Yes, Amazon is crazy. I'm having several problems with them
right now. They just can't seem to get my order right. I don't think
I'll be ordering anything from them again, if I can help it. Oh, What
play are you in now? A few of my friends just returned from San
Francisco. I said, "But I *know* people there! I should have gone with
you!" They loved it and want to move there (who doesn't?) They were
especially fond of the bold and strange bums that would jump out of the
bushes at them. Perhaps if we can't afford to go to Europe, we'll go
check out the Bay area instead:)

DanGuy- Happy Birthday!

Neil- Congratulations on winning the Inscriptions award!

Linda- Thank you. It's gone by so fast. I plan on being here forever,
that is, if my evil-concocted plan works and I live forever. Muahaha.

Erynn - I'm currently in Ubu Roi, which closes tomorrow night, and I
start rehearsing a new One-Act called "Chain Reactions" on Monday.
that'll go up in April. I'm also doing a Suzuki demonstration at a
benefit for a local theatre space next Friday.

I haven't had any real problems with Amazon yet, but that particular
entry has me wary. I'm actually happy with Amazon right now cause i got
my Adventures of Wallace and Gromit DVD yesterday. Whee!!

Ooh! Love Wallace and Gromit! When are we going to get a new one,

Erynn, I just realized that "travels spontaneously" almost sounds like a

House-buying frazzles, personal stuff and nothing much to contribute
have kept me silent. But just for the record...

Michelle: Gorgeous you, gorgeous photos. Thanks so much for sharing
them! I hope you had fun working with the photographer. I especially
love the black and whites. But I'm glad we got the color shots, too,
so we could see your tattoos and hair in full technicolor. I am so
damn jealous of your hair, but I *so* could not pull that off. And I
LOVE The Sound of Her Wings. If I ever get a tattoo (which I'm
tentatively considering--I have all sorts of weird hepatitis fears,
probably from working with so many liver patients), some form of winged
caduceus is one of the two that I'm considering.

Kelly and Erynn: Nice to see ya.

Erynn: YOU MUST GO. Kevin and I blew the (first) downpayment in 2000,
to take our dream trip to England, Scotland and Ireland. And my first
trip to Europe (Norway and Sweden) when I was 13 utterly changed my
life, with the realization that there are *entire countries* full of
people like me who didn't give a rat's ass who the cheerleading captain
and the football QB were.

Dan: Hope it's a faboo birthday!

Tree: I wrote you at Xanga, but this Simply Will Not Do. I guess the
Thingie honeymoon is over with London. *hugs!*

And Neil: I haven't said anything, because I'm not quite sure if
you're interested in this sort of feedback, actually. But I liked
HARLEQUIN VALENTINE a lot. It kinda took me aback at first, until I
grasped that it was... well, a character sketch of (duh) HARLEQUIN.
The, um... his turn on stage, from the middle of the play. And that's
how it felt, some. Like a moment extracted from something larger. I
*really* liked the punch of the contrast between the highly stylized
language of Harlequin and the almost photorealistic art of Bolton. It
was constantly forcing me to readjust my perspective, like crazy
bifocals.

So, um. Anyway.

Um, this is (typically) short notice, but if anyone is even vaguely
interested, my uncle's Law and Order: Special Victims Unit episode is
on tonight, 9pm central time. He's the dad of the junkie whose
boyfriend forces her into prostitution for drug money, or some such
thing.

Dan, that stuff terrifies me as well as fascinates me. It's
interesting to think of all of the technology that could be used in
such wonderful ways, but must be avoided because of the people who
would corrupt its usage.

sometimes fortunately) my husband does. He likes to think about bills
all the time. No fun.

Pamela- Nice to see you too:)

Dan- Break a leg as always. One day I will see one of your plays. I'll
ride a damned donkey all the way to Cali if I have to...

Amazon doesn't always screw up my orders...just lately...I think, I
mean I really believe it has to do with the moon cycles. I'm not
usually superstitious. At all. But this week was the full moon. And
this week was very surreal. Not really bad, just weird. I had this
customer the other day that INSISTED that his lasagna was a chicken
parm. He was eating it, and I must have argued with him for a good ten
minutes about it. "I refuse to pay for this. I've had lasagna before
and this is a chicken parm!" "Um. Sir. Chicken parm would mean that it
actually contained CHICKEN!" And so on.... Many things of this nature
happened this week..people getting shot outside my window (with the
exception of the occasional Mafia Hitman, this is generally a safe
neighborhood.) I don't know. I'm not leaving the house for the rest of
the weekend unless I really have to. I just started keeping a journal
today. I'm tracking events in conjunction with the moon phases. I'm
convinced. And maybe next month I can be more prepared....
