Drill holes just large and deep enough to admit plastic test tubes/vials, either all over or just on the horizontal surface. Mount eye hook in center top and hang from plastic chain. Make sure test tubes are fitted level with top surface of the log to discourage chewing. Test tubes are easy to clean and disinfect. Feeder may be stocked with sugar solutions, diluted vinegar, or water.
