Usually putting up a notice in the Docent or Keeper area requesting out of date phone books will net you more than enough. Well-thumbed copies seem to be best-liked.
Make sure the books contain no staples, slick color advertisements or other foreign matter.
Caution: This enrichment does produce a lot of paper mess. We preferred to provide phone books off-exhibit to allow for easier clean up. You might want to try a small book or section first to ensure the animal doesn't want to eat too much paper (not toxic but indigestible), although the mountain lions never did.
