Project: Rawhide Bones
Materials
- Large rawhide bones with tight knots on the ends. It is sometimes possible to get a pet supply store to give you some or give a big discount when you tell them what it's for. It is also nice to follow up with a picture of the cat playing with it for a store that's been really generous.
Instructions
Monitor to see how much of the bone they ingest. At the zoo I worked at last, we only gave one every 3-4 weeks.
Cautions
Watch for changes in stool and/or vomiting. We never had any problem but our vet wanted us to watch closely once the bones were approved.
