Program Manager , Cartesis, Inc., Paris, France Cartesis creates financial management and BPM software for the world's largest companies. Managed a custom software development project for L’Orčal Paris. The result of this collaboration will be part of the Cartesis product line for sale to other customers. This role involves client negotiation, project management, team leadership, and coordination of engineering teams in Toronto, Paris, and the UK. My original role at Cartesis was to refine and develop user interfaces across their product suite. I managed a team which created new interfaces for the products of purchased companies that were brought into the Cartesis BPM suite, and updated existing product interfaces for improved integration, consistency, and usability. · Improved sales cycle on the company’s main product line by working with presales to improve interfaces used in client demos. · Made rapid interface changes to newly purchased products to get them into the suite and sellable to existing customers within one quarter. · Specified and coordinated development of an entirely new product for L’Orčal, which will become a new key part of the Cartesis BPM suite. |

DHAP was the sole development resource for Toyota.com, and as such we managed, specified, and built medium- and large-scale applications and projects in support of Toyota’s marketing efforts (e.g. data collection and reporting tools). · Increased online sales response time via the creation of a new Sales Lead Processor application - the primary method of connecting car buyers with nearby dealers. Leads are processed, stored, and sent to the dealer instantly for immediate action as part of Toyota's "two hour response time" initiative. · Built, deployed and supported several Web applications to support off-line marketing efforts in multiple languages, including Terminator 3, NASCAR, and the launch of the 2004 Prius. |

Vice President of Web Development, Sega.com, San Francisco Sega.com created the first ISP dedicated to high-speed online console gaming when it launched the Sega.net service in September 2000. http://www.sega.com & http://www.sega.net As the first person hired at Sega.com, I led the specification, design, development, and rollout of an entirely new site for gamers. The Sega.com site, which went live in May 2000, was a launch pad for the Sega.net ISP. Sega.net garnered over 100,000 signups in the first two months of operation. · Hired a team of 35 engineers, writers, designers, producers, and production staff to build what ZDNet called "The most useful gaming site on the Web." · Led the development and implementation of the Sega.com store, which broke even within the first three months, and doubled revenue month-over-month during my tenure. · Designed a privacy practice to comply with the Federal Government's Child Online Privacy Protection Act. Sega.com was presented to Congress as an example of how a youth-oriented company could comply with this act while maintaining a successful youth-oriented online business. |
