APOSTOLIC CANONS

CANON XXI.

If a eunuch has been made so by the violence of men or in times of persecution, or if he has been born so, may be made a bishop, if in other respects he is worthy.

CANON XXII.

He who has mutilated himself cannot become a clergyman, for he is a self-murderer, and an enemy to the workmanship of God.
