David Brake's Internet & Technology Journalism

A selection of the news and feature articles I have written. Feature-length pieces are in bold.

A limited selection of links to movie, game and book reviews and other consumer writings is also available on a separate page. More recently I have become an academic and have written a number of academic papers.

Alas, most of my work for Personal Computer World and earlier publications like Punch was not put online and is no longer available.

I wrote several pieces for The Net magazine's launch issue and produced most of the "Help Button" on its (now defunct) web site (explaining key Net skills to novices). To find all of my writing for New Scientist in 1996-1997, follow this link.

2010 Update - Due to redesigns of newspaper and magazine websites, many of the pieces listed here (principally those from The Telegraph and ITN Online) are no longer available on the web (except via the Internet Archive). I have linked some key articles (in italics) directly to their cached Internet Archive page.
