KPFK Antenna Project

At the Jampro Antenna factory in Sacramento, California. Here is the new four bay antenna on the tune-up tower, behind the machine shop.

Close up detail of the .9 wave spacing modification. The feedline is 3" in diameter. The array is a center feed design, using a 6" feed point, shown below. The safe power handling capability of this antenna is just under 60,000 watts. KPFK will send 55,000 watts to the feed point to achieve full broadcast power..
