Maps of the Bay Area
Goal/Objective:
Students will gain mapreading skills as they identify features of Bay Area
maps.
Description:
Students look at two maps of the Bay Area - one with mountains and one
with roads and cities. They draw and label at least three features
of the maps
that interest them.
Materials:

Computers with internet connection.

Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer.

Pencil and paper for each student.
Procedure:

Use the arrows on the right side of the screen to go up and down and see
the whole map.

Draw and label at least three cities, lakes, bays or other features from
the map.
