Blending with the crowd, Helen stepped inside an open bowl-shaped structure, lined with hundreds of rows of wooden benches, each row demarcated by a steep gray staircase. Yellow numbers were stenciled on the staircase walls. Above each staircase, a small square shaped window revealed patches of blue sky and clouds.

Below the stadium seats lay a field of mowed green grass, marked with lines and with icons from old flow charts.
