The Septemberclaver Systems helicopter was headed for the wrong cabin, half a mile West of the Astrophysicists' cabin. Helen pulled the canoe on the beach just on the other side of the promontory. She watched as the helicopter attempted to land in the shallow water beside the beach of the wrong cabin.

It crashed. Flipped sideways. Two men exited through the cab door.

Helen got back in the canoe and headed towards the East shore of the lake, paddling close to the shore, so as to stay behind the promontory.
