"By the time the waiter arrived -- with sliced beef, pork, chicken, and shrimp sauteed with water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, pea pods and other vegetables; Mongolian beef; Sesame Chicken; hot and sour shrimp; white rice; and a second round of beer -- Claude had refused to meet Griff in the Stanford Shopping Center, explaining that he never went to stores, he only ordered from the JC Penny catalog, except for the new jacket which he got at the Goodwill store.
