When he was 14, he joined his first reggae band, playing the rhythm and lead guitar.  With this band, Amlak went on to tour        Europe and Africa while also performing as rhythm guitarist for Musical Youth.
He began playing bass guitar; working and recording with such artists as  I Jahman Levi, Pablo      Moses, Culture, Beres Hammond, Luciano, and the legendary Big Youth from Jamaica. He first     joined Pato Banton's band, the Reggae Revolution, in 1989 as rhythm lead guitarist -- switching to bass guitar in 1991 after brief stints with Lieutenant Stitchie, Earl Sixteen and Mikey Dread.  In    January 1995, Pato Banton and the Reggae Revolution skyrocketed to #1 in the U.K. and various   countries around the world with "Baby Come Back",  recorded with UB40.
