Technical Notes

Browser Recommendations

To experience my museum as originally intended, I suggest using the most recent version of Microsoft Internet Explorer. This site also works with most other browsers, but may not look as good, primarily due to most other browsers not being as compliant with The World Wide Web Consortium's latest recommendations for HTML. Netscape Navigator is especially remiss in this department.

Browser Settings

This site does not contain any frames, Java, embedded midi music, or server-side scripts; however, it does make extensive use of style sheets, so I strongly recommend that you enable style sheets in your browser's settings for the best presentation of backgrounds, colors, fonts, and graphics.

Miscellanious Technical Information

All the fonts on this site are now sized in terms of "points" (seventy-secondths of an inch) instead of pixels, so they should (theoretically) look the same size regardless of monitor size or resolution setting.

All of the HTML on this site is now in compliance with The World Wide Web Consortium's specifications for XTML 1.0 Strict.

The styles sheets are all written in the Cascading Style Sheets, Level 1 language. (For some tips on CSS, see the Cascading Style Sheet Language section of my essay on web-site building.)
