probing consensus within the paraculture
Consensus is necessary and worth attempting when the intention is to serve the collective interests of all directly and indirectly affected stakeholders, and justification of these intentions; also, rests with these constituents.
p.o.b. is an endeavor to reach consensus on ideals of design; principles; and practices of social interaction and involvement that are exercised among the circles of the paraculture, and to identify alignments among the representative life perspectives of this population. by presenting a forum and format for debating only the ideals of these dimensions, p.o.b. intends to model the appropriateness; role; value; desirability; and applicable necessity (agency) of thorough process and visioning in guiding universal intentions of inclusion and cohesiveness for interacting parties. among the interests of this effort are maintaining separation of design planning and visioning from application and implementation considerations, and defining what degree and extent of this separation is valid and appropriate in various aspects of social design and construction.
