Temporary senior design positions in the web industry designing front-end architecture for websites, using extensive graphic design, illustration, and story creation experience. (Retired from a career in Silicon Valley.)

Priority given to opportunities for dynamic web design involving the use of Flash and/or streaming media. Interesting projects using static site design also be considered.

Graphics:
Five years experience with Flash.
Fourteen years experience with PhotoShop and the web (FTP, Telnet, UNIX).
Seven years experience with web design, including straight HTML, and building animated gifs.
Some Javascript, DHTML, CSS - especially layers, but Dreamweaver does most of this without coding.
Able to work with pages built by ASP, Cold Fusion, and SQL.

Visa International: Long-term contract with head of the internal website team. Conception, mock-up and design of hundreds of web pages and web sites. Produced gif animations, javascript animations, and Flash animations. Repair and pdating of older pages and sites including font- and color-matching. Modification of video files, digitization of analog video and export of gifs/jpgs from video for use as static images. Forms, rollovers, show/hide javascript functions. Worked closely with the web team, and coordinated with pages created with Cold Fusion and SQL databases, and, from when it became available, Microsoft's action script (ASP).

Freelance/Contract Website Designer: 1997 - present
Produced original graphic design, front-end architecture (navigation and information design), prototyping and mockups with attention to meeting marketing and promotional needs, client relations.Clients have included: Rate Xchange.com, Wildbrain,com, Walkumentary.com, GlobeXplorer.com, Talisman Resources, Priorityhome.com, IICS.com, Pharos Technologies.
