Chocolate Pudding
(adapted from The Fannie Farmer Cookbook )
I love to make this in the morning and eat it warm for breakfast!
- In a heavy saucepan or double boiler, heat gently
- 2 c half and half (half milk, half cream)
- Mix together in small bowl
- 3 Tbsp cornstarch
- 4 Tbsp sugar
- 3 Tbsp cocoa powder (Mozart Cocoa is the most awesome)
- 1/8 tsp salt
and add to milk, mixing thoroughly.
Stir constantly as mixture heats and thickens. This should take 5-10 minutes.
When thickened, cook a few more minutes, then remove from heat.
- Stir in
- 1 tsp vanilla
and pour into cups or dish and cool. Eat warm or chill. 4 servings (sort of!).
