Old Faithful and other geothermal wonders

Old Faithful isn't the biggest geyser at Yellowstone, but it's certainly the most famous. There are two parking lots near the geyser. Together they are about the size of the parking facility at Disneyland. In mid-summer, the lots are completely full and cars are backed up waiting to get in. Luckily we were there early in the season. The lots were empty and there were no crowds.

Old Faithful erupts

Another geyser among the cluster in the Old Faithful area.

Three geysers erupting simultaneously.

The placid looking Morning Glory pool is about 180 degrees. Once entirely blue, the outer rim has turned yellow because thoughtless visitors have thrown litter into the water, affecting the chemical composition.
