Costa Rica, November 2006 -- Insect nests

I never knew whether these flying ant-like things made this nest or were simply invading something another insect had created.

The wasps are always busy making new nests, as the daily rainfall causes their old ones to disintigrate regularly.

Bugs as party animals ...
