We began our Halloween near sunset, dining at Longhi's from our second-floor balcony table. The women at the next table didn't need a sauna to sweat; with 30,000 people packed into a 10-block stretch of Front Street, temperatures and humidity soared.



Clockwise,: Diane, Jerry & Cynthia (dressed as static cling), the Bests (Bill as a bored mime who talks, and Bobbi as a grape, perhaps?), me (with a tiny muscleman doll tucked into my topknot, head down. My costume: Conjoined fraternal twins), and Bobbi's 85-year-old dad, Irv, who later changed into a nun costume and had a ball blessing everybody.
