Mexico, 2003
Unicorno, the San Miguel shop where I bought the parrot costume, also had
a collection of trunks and suitcases for sale. I didn't ask the owner about
the significance of these carrying cases' contents, so I don't know if they
were a creation of a contemporary artist or something else entirely.

Why is there a 4-foot-tall Jesus in this old traveling trunk? What are
all these heads and arms doing in there? And what about the shoe forms?
I have no answers, only questions.

On a lighter note, there were also smaller suitcases. The one on the
right here was stuffed with toys, and another had a collection of vintage
magic tricks paraphenalia.
