Australia, now and then

I had three roommates when I lived in Sydney. One was a transplanted American named Pat Woolley. While my other roommates and I frittered our days away in blissful sloth, Pat was always busy with her publishing business, taking up an entire room of our house with a printing press and all the paper and ink necessary to keep it up and running. She now lives a quiet, peaceful life with her partner Ted, spending half their time in the south of France and the other half in their country retreat alongside the Hawksbury River an hour's train ride north of Sydney.
