This praying mantis is so big that when it plops onto the ground from a backyard papaya tree, I pick it up thinking it's an underdeveloped fruit the tree has shed. Then it starts wriggling in my hand. Eeek!

And this locust is about 5 inches long.
These little green ants aren't big at all, but they reportedly deliver an
extremely painful bite.
This walking stick is about 10 inches long. As I approach it for a photo,
I learn that walking sticks have WINGS and they want to land on people
with cameras. Double eeek!
