A white-faced heron roosts on the top of the fence around the clay tennis court at our stone cottage rental.

A pecan tree on the cottage property is a powerful draw for local wild birds with strong beaks. This galah lands in the tree just overhead and feasts for nearly 20 minutes before flying off again.

These eastern rosellas are also big fans of pecans.
