The day before we go home, we take a hike through Redwood Grove in Sequoia National Forest.

I discover a morel mushroom growing on the forest floor
And another one, all white, growing horizontally underneath a rotting log.
These small fuscia-like flowers grow on a plant with needle-sharp thorns
The forest is dotted with blooming dogwood
