Our first indication that we are in the general region of Area 51 is
this outlandishly large alien figure in front of a quonset hut.
The sign confirms we are on the ET Highway!
The Little Ale-E-Inn is a rundown bar and burger place with what is
probably the most wide-ranging selection of alien-related knick-knacks,
T-shirts, fridge magnets and other amusing trinkets offered for
public consumption. We leave with alien coffee mugs, alien key
chains, and alien shot glasses.
The tufas at Mono Lake are a welcome natural contrast to the
amusing but terribly tacky Al-E-Inn.
