Kayakers with Bay Access leave Berkeley bound for Richmond on the fourth leg of a week-long tour around the Bay.

Bay Access advocates a "Water Trail" that would parallel the Bay Trail on the water side of the shoreline, with access points and limited facilities for overnight stops. The goal is to improve day access and to accommodate extended trips by self-sufficient hand-launched watercraft.
