Free rides and team try-outs during the Berkeley Marina's July 4 festival.

Volunteers from the Berkeley Racing Canoe Center gave over 150 people of all ages their first experience in a dragon boat. The design of these 48 ft traditional Chinese river canoes dates to about 400 BC.
