The latest proposal for the David Brower Memorial sculpture places it at the entrance to the Berkeley Marina. The stone sphere is 15 feet in diameter.

An earlier proposal called for siting the memorial in the circle near the kite flying area at the west entrance to Cesar Chavez Park.

Although the circle near the park entrance is by far the more dramatic location, it has met with considerable objection based on percieved obstruction to view corridors and concerns for traffic safety.
