The official word is that volunteers must have four hours of haz-mat training before assisting with bird rescue or spill clean-up. Training was not available over the weekend, but fortunately there are people willing to ignore the rules.

As of Sunday evening, KC was credited with 22 bird rescues from the Albany Bulb.
