Camp Life and Self-Portraits

Our camp, the Ampijoroa Research Station in Ankarafantsika National Forest, was not as well-furnished as some Earthwatch camps are, but we did have tents and a locally-hired support staff, who cooked for us. Meals were heavy on beans and rice, but after working our butts off all day we always had a substantial appetite. I've also thrown in any photos of myself that didn't fit anywhere else.

A rather sloppily-done panoramic composite of the camp itself. The central structure is the dining hall, and the volunteers stayed in the tents to the right. This was taken before I learned how to do the proper panoramic-photo mode on the camera.
My first night in Madagascar. Man, does that shirt make me look fat.
Me with a sample of the local drug known as rambo, which when chewed is a mild stimulant.
Warren sacked out in the hammock, with Avotra helping.
Me swinging on an actual vine in the jungle. Because everyone has to sooner or later.
The whole team, enumerated by name here.
My last night in Madagascar. Obviously, I've lost my hat and gone insane.
