The project involved a complex restoration of a premier San Francisco landmark over a period of four years. The building is listed in seventh place on the United States register of historic places.
Restoration of the building required close consultation with Federal, State and local heritage groups. The project was market based and required application of tax and preservation statutes crucial to project feasibility.
