MAGIC STONE
Of the power possessed by
crystals, I know
YouÕre skeptical: I too find it
unlikely
Inorganic compounds, cut just so,
Quicken immune systems in the
sickly,
Or that amulets gemmed with
amethyst
Win wearers renewed continence,
Or that staurolite senses keys we
lost,
And emerald, blissed-out
omniscience.
But face it: thereÕs intelligent
grace
To molecules just clicking into
place,
Some grand scheme in coincident
bonds
To which a God-starved nature
responds.
So when our heartbeat speeds from
the feeling,
How wrong is it to call that healing?
