Creative Director
  • Responsible for the user interface design of a wide range of web-based applications, including prototyping, mockups, management presentation, implementation, customization, and usability testing and analysis.
  • Responsible for the creation of hundreds of design templates for website and banner ad creation applications, marketing demos, trade show graphics, and the corporate website.
  • Built from scratch, managed and mentored a team of seven designers involved in all aspects of the company's graphic and web design requirements.
  • Managed multiple large projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Participated in requirements development for future incarnations of the application suite, wrote user interface design specifications, and developed company-wide interface design standards.

  • Managed and supported an 11,000-user online internet conferencing system, including managing a staff of 500 volunteer hosts and planning/staffing offline community outreach programs: monthly parties, host dinners, annual picnics, HTML classes, and special events.
  • Managed projects ranging from web server administration and database development, to host/content evaluations and new user orientations.
  • Helped design, develop, and launch the WELL's main web site, the user interface for a commercial web-based conferencing application, internal relational databases, and several other project-oriented websites and web advertisements.
  • Designed graphics and page layouts for print collateral, newsletters, trade show banners, business cards, advertisements, and other marketing materials.
  • Served as a mediator for host and user online disputes and as a liaison between the community and management, including handling online PR and policy presentation.
  • Wrote and developed technical documentation for the WELL's Host Manual, the departmental procedures manual, and staff and user online tools.
  • Assisted in the development and implementation of nationwide programs to forge new business partnerships.

  • Customer service and technical support on Macintosh, Windows, DOS and UNIX platforms for ISP and asynchronous conferencing services, including development of technical support related procedures and documentation.
  • Designed and taught introductory programs on the Internet, The WELL, and basic HTML.
