Beginning August 18, best-selling Australian author Kate Veitch joins
us for a conversation about her second novel, "Trust," which delivers
a lively and compelling tale of a contemporary Melbourne family thrown
into crisis. There's love, there's strife, there's compassion, there's
angst, there's duplicity and, yes, some juicy sex. For more on Ms. Veitch
and her work, check out her web site: http://www.kateveitch.com/

Also coming up in Inkwell.vue, starting Wednesday next week, Eric
Pooley (former Well member)will be our guest to discuss his new book ,
"The Climate War: True Believers, Power Brokers, and the Fight to Save
the Earth,"

(from his website)
In The Climate War, Eric Pooley, deputy editor of Bloomberg
Businessweek, takes us behind the scenes and into the minds of the
most important players in the struggle to cap global warming
pollution—an American civil war in which trillions of dollars and the
fate of the planet are at stake. To write this book, Pooley, the
former managing editor of Fortune and chief political correspondent for
Time, spent three years embedded with an extraordinary cast of
characters on all sides of the fight. The result is an epic narrative,
a searing exposé, and an essential read for anyone who wants to
understand the most important argument in America."

<echodog> will be conducting the interview and we hope you all will
join in the discussion.

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, for our next Inkwell
guest, we have invited Carole Berlin, breast cancer survivor, activist
and educator, to be our guest. She will be discussing, among other
things, "What you should know before your next Mammogram." She has done
a lot of research about how chemotherapy and radiation work wtih
breast cancer and what else you can do prevent breast cancer and heal
yourself if you get it.

Two of the websites she writes for are:

www.breastcancerchoices.org
www.annieappleseedproject.org

I hope you will join the conversation, which starts on Wednesday.

place or date to which to point them.

With no central headquarters for books to go in and out of, and the
fact that two of the hosts here are actually producing and conducting
the current set of interviews, it's been a bit tough of late.

However, we have David Weinburger up next, and after him Cory Doctorow
and Charlie Stross, for their new collaboration "Empire of the Nerds."
Not sure what the Weinburger book is, to be honest. Anyway, that
carries us through Oct. 1, by which time I hope to be able to announce
a couple of others.

When does the Weinburger interview start? That's the book I'm reading --
it's very good.

capt, all due respect, and I appreciate that you're at least answering,
but there are four hosts and obviously the information exists in written
form somewhere -- how long would it take for one of those hosts to pop the
info into a boilerplate post every couple of weeks? It sort of used to
happen.

Not long at all. I'm new to hosting and believe this got dropped thru
the cracks when we lost our staff. This is where we are at the moment:

David Weinberger, Too Big to Know Sept 13 - Sept 27

Cory Doctorow/Charlie Stross, The Rapture of the Nerds Sept 17 - Oct
1

Note that these two conversations overlap one another due to author
commitments and scheduling.

Could you get some mystery writers, novelists, or authors that write
books about music into the rotation?
