Mmmm... ratties. I (heart) ratties. I just can't have ratties in the
house with the current kitty brigade. Ratties are utterly loveable. I
mean, I get how people can be grossed out by the tails, but some of
them are like a miniature cross between rabbits and cats - completely
soft, chompy and nibbley, cuddley, and sniffy cute! Yes, I miss having
rats. So, which rats did you get?

What I don't miss is chocolate. So far NO ONE has given me chocolate
for the holidays and I couldn't be happier. Can't stand the stuff. Good
chocolate would be wasted on me. (and before any of you erupt into a
big loud "WHAAAAT!!!!", remember, this means MORE chocolate for you)

Now, coconut yummy things, on the other hand. mmm...

Those are really cute not-willie-the-shake - the rat thing. It was
also very nice of her to send your Neil Rat company.

"Metaphorical gravy" might make someone a good pseud.

Yeah, rats clean up cute. I have a friend who breeds them. 'Course,
get enough of them in one space and they smell, but when he only had a
few of them, they were cute.

-Christy thinks dogs are cute, too, until she gets close enough to
smell them

But, Christy, nothing on earth smells as good as a puppy!

OK, maybe it's just me.

Boy, are those rats cute. Devastatingly, even.

gone on a field trip with what *looked* like my kids, *sounded* like
my kids, but *acted* like the devil incarnate)

<re: Neil's Neuromancer joke :: I thought it was funny too, Mr. G.>

Me too! I always meant to ask him if that was on purpose, and yes, I
was amused to note how different a dead channel looks nowadays.
(Antenna vs. cable, I suppose.) People do notice these little gems, n.

Don'tcha just love it when somebody asks your question _for_ you, and
gets answered?

Now if I could just get somebody to ask Neil all the stuff I've been
wanting to ask him about songwriting ever since I found out he wrote
music....

Good luck, Dan! This time next year I may be asking you for advice on
homebuying in the DC area....

Get well, Mary! Sending you virtual tea and honey!

Ahem. See my X-mas list this year:

So I don't know if anyone in *your* family is asking for one, but at
least *someone* is. ;)

I'd love to buy your houses but until they can beam them anywhere, I
can't buy them. They're not here.I WANT a house for Christmas. Sigh.
Another year. Maybe two.

Deal or no deal, that wouldn't be a house for Christmas, that would
just be a deal on a house. I just want the house. ;P But the world
peace is good too. I wouldn't mind that.

And I certainly hope traffic is really bad if you're posting while

-Neil's Neuromancer joke-

I'm so clueless... Is this about the blog? I should read more often.

How do I do italics here, btw? I know - there are links... and I
clicked and thought I had understood and it didn't work.

=#=

I love to cook. Not every day cooking dinner on the table sort of
cooking, but the sort of cooking that is all about making people look
at you with desire. I make a flour-free chocolate cake that is to die
for. My latkes are the perfect combo of satisfying crunchiness on the
outside with a tasty and soft inside.... All this to say - I have
OD-ed on them latkes. Yes. I ate so many of them people stared. Not
only did I eat the latkes, but I had sour cream all over them. Then I
had the chocolate cake. Much of it. I took the rich cream+melted
chocolate sauce I made and... yes, I poured it all over the cake.

Pointless point: Why is it that anything that's good in life has to be
bad for you?

"How do I do italics here"

The real answer is, you shouldn't. The are many people that still
read the well via terminal packages instead of the web. Therefore, we
avoid anything that is not plain text. It's just one of those odd
things we do here.
