Thanks, Neil! That's cool.

I've always wanted to ask you what you played (or if you sang) in that
band, and whether you still play any instruments from time to time.
(I'm sure I've read what the band was called somewhere, I just forgot.)
So, well, consider it asked, and if you don't get to answer it, I'll
ask some other time. :)

Mostly I sang. I barely play any intruments any more, alas.

Thanks, Neil.

Dan -- Yeah, I hear he figured out which end of the kazoo to hum into,
too (his words)!

Neil, you're fun. :)

And Anansi Boys arrived in the mail today! (Noisy Outlaws etc.
arrived yesterday and Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell crept into by
shopping cart while I was buying envelopes today). Hmmm... Where to
start.

Today I broke a personal record- number of times seeing a movie in theaters
during its initial run. Previous recordholder- Fellowship of the Ring (3).
New recordholder: Mirrormask (4).

It's still good on the fourth viewing.

I'm always so happy for Neil when he gets home safe and sound. Heh.

Hope you all had a great weekend! I sure did.

Where the devil have you folks been?

I keep coming by here & nobody's posting, so, since it is unlike us to
be quiet for long, I shall yammer.

I saw a sing-a-long Mary Poppins a couple of weeks ago. It was a
riot--sort of Rocky Horror for kids. I recommend it.

The new Harry Potter flick is pretty good, given the challenges of
making that novel into a film. And am I the only one around here who
cannot wait to see The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe?

Our basketball teams--girls & boys, JV & varsity, rock. And so I bid
you all adieu and Happy Weekend to go watch them cream yet another poor
unsuspecting foe.

Mary (just finished The Serpent On The Crown by Elizabeth Peters, and
it was another ripping Amelia Peabody caper. I love Amelia)

Well, I've never posted that often, so I'm where I've always been.

Additionally, there's all that extra stuff to do before the end of the
year at work.

I've been coming down from the NaNoWriMo high. And, getting ready for
my final. Having finished Anansi Boys I may be engaging it again from
a different perspective. Heard an interesting comment from the
director of a Shakespeare Company that resonated with a comment Neil
made about Anansi Boys being a comedy in the Shakespeare way. It feels
like a good Lit Analysis project. We'll see.

Can't talk -
a) cramming for finals
b) procrastinating on final projects
c) loathing holiday insanity (and the people who don't know how to
drive in it)
d) sick with cold and variations on said theme
e) too many projects due by x-mas
f) all of the above

I'm sorry! Hate to hear Sacramento letting anyone down. Not even a
free wifi location nearby?

_Free_ wifi is so hard to find. :(

Holy crap! There are, like, PEOPLE here and sh*t. Good to hear from
y'all.

Actually, Glen, I've always thought you were one of the few who do
post here now. Especially when someone has a question. About
anything. At all.

How long were you out in Sacramento for, Dan?

Myself, I've been working from a client site where I shouldn't really
post to message boards. And by the time I get home, who wants to get
on a computer?

But in about three weeks, I won't be posting as (tinymonster) anymore
anyway. I'm letting my subscription lapse. So any posting I do will
be via e-mail, which is about the only way I can do it now anyway, so
it's not like I'll be missing anything.

I saw HP on Thanksgiving, and already had plans to see it in a couple
of weeks with some friends. Plus Narnia, which I (Lord willing) will
have seen _next_ weekend in NYC with Ben and company.

Saw a really cool concert by some singers from the South Sea islands
on Wednesday night.

I really should get to bed if I want to be up at 5:15 to catch the
first of many trains and buses. Good night. Apologize for
non-articulatenessesses.

Have been busy busy busy at work. Am counting down time to end of
January. This is when one of my bosses moves to another department.
This is good because she has become a totally different and not nice
person since she started dating, a couple of years ago, the man which
just a couple of months ago became her husband. Did you ever know a
person who became totall different with every man she dated? Well,
that's the case. Alas, he is not a nice man in many ways.

I just read "American Gods" (the new paperback edition) on the plane
