Thank you both, Trav and Adam, for joining us here in Inkwell for the past
two weeks. What a wonderful conversation this has been! Though we've just
launched another discussion in Inkwell, that doesn't mean this one has to
end, of course. You're welcome to stick around as long as you like, the
topic will remain open indefinitely. If you have other things calling
you away, however, just let me say before you leave how much we've

I was a wee bit too busy to grab a copy of the book during the
discussion (changing jobs), but I nabbed it a couple of days ago.  What
a great read!  Really nice job.

I'll be reading from my recent book No Applause Just Throw Money, the Book 
That Made Vaudeville Famous (Faber and Faber, 2005) which HAS JUST BEEN 
RELEASED IN PAPERBACK AND WOULD MAKE AN EXCELLENT CHRISTMAS GIFT! Also on 
the bill with me that night will be Leanne Shapton, who will be reading 
and showing slides from Is She Pretty and Lucy Beldsoe, reading from The 
Ice Cave. No Applause has been praised by the NY Times, the New Yorker, 
the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, Variety and Entertainment 
Weekly, and featured on such radio programs as the Leonard Lopate Show 
(WNYC), the Joey Reynolds Show (WOR), the Big Broadcast (WFMU) and Cat 
Radio Cafe(WBAI).
