What Happens During the Cycles?
Several cycles would result in a complete change in the vegetation regime, which in turn, could affect climate.
- loss of woodland where ruminant grazers survive - the plains
- increase in contentality due to loss transpired moisture from trees on the plains
- increase in fire due increased thunderstorm activity due to loss of friction from trees on the plains
- spread of unbroken woodland from mountain refugia along the coasts.
