MIDI is the the favourite programming language for multimedia artists who perform in realtime.

4. LIFE AFTER HISTORY.

  • On the occasion of the first decade of their activity, the two Viennese artists living and working in Frankfurt am Main, who by founding Station Rose in 1988 had created Europe´s first "multimedia band", present their "Station Rose Birthday Jingle", composed on behalf of kunstradio.
  • With this jingle Station Rose continue their 10-year old tradition of acoustic "STR News" at Kunstradio. Again, the jingle reflects latest developments of their work. Furthermore it contains new and never before released music and text, three-dimensional acoustic FX (so called audio-attacks), as well as news, all merged into a radio play.
  • Along with Station Rose its "Digital Archive" celebrates its 10th birthday. Elisa Rose and Gary Danner selected samples from the archive, and put them into original context. Special attention was directed to the most important artistic phases of the last 10 years.

    • Anläßlich der ersten Dekade ihres Schaffens präsentieren die beiden in Frankfurt a. M. lebenden und arbeitenden WienerKünstler, die mit ihrem Projekt Station Rose die erste Multimedia-Band Europas gegründet haben, ihre Station Rose-Geburtstags-Jingle, die sie im Auftrag von kunstradio komponiert haben.
    Mit dieser Jingle setzt Station Rose ihre seit zehn Jahren liebgewonnene Tradition der auditiven "Station Rose-News" fort. Auch auf jüngste Entwicklungen des Projekts Station Rose nimmt der Jingle Bezug. Zu hören sind u.a. Eindrücke vom 10-Jahres-Jubiläum von Station Rose, das am Vortag dieser Sendung (am 11.3.) live und im Internet gefeiert wird.
    Weiters enthält der Jingle neueste, unveröffentlichte Musik und Texte
    von Station Rose sowie Nachrichten, die in ein ein
    "Hörspiel" verpackt werden. Räumlich-akustische Effekte, sogenannte
    "Audio-Attacken" sorgen zusätzlich für Spannung.
     

    Mit Station Rose feiert natürlich auch ihr "Digitales Archiv"

    sein zehnjähriges Bestehen. Für den Station Rose-Jingle haben

    Elisa Rose und Gary Danner Samples aus dem von ihnen aufgebauten

    "Digitalen Archiv" ausgewählt und in völlig neuartige

    Zusammenhänge gesetzt. Besonderer Augenmerk wird bei der

    Sample-Selektion auf die wichtigsten künstlerischen Phasen

    der letzten 10 Jahre von Station Rose gelegt.
