What I type on the keyboard appears in green
on the screen which is called the monitor.
When the screen is full, the letters
scroll up somewhere inside the machine.

The woman at the station to my left is typing steadily.
Her husband is an IBM salesman, and she
keeps his picture in a small silver frame
beside her computer.
