A device  so morbid it scribes
 a long spear in the side of design
  Fear of one's own kind

There's no precedent we need to find
 to secure what's on this mind
Rest assured there's sufficient time
 to sieve this catch of vice

                   playing Cupid with attitude
                    on swaggering lines in your wet shoes
                     playing frog in a hangman's noose

 that we've skilled our sharpest knives
Taking joy in taking life
 trading punches to pass the time

                  Dagger of mind that has sold you
                  Dagger of time that has long controlled you
                  Dagger of life's  own whore
                  A slap in the face of poise

                  Dagger so old
                  Dagger of light - darkness takes a hold
                 
                  Dagger of dreams  swung by bitter souls 
                   reading signs  on ignited poles
