these voices ring
these lyrics were written (some years ago) to the music of "Forest echoes" by SILVARD, after hearing it on the Whisperings, Solo Piano Radio web stream.
in drafting them, we decided to conjure mother's day wishes that impart an urging for mothers to find comfort–and, perhaps, to rejoice–in the role of rearing children to awaken, and tap into, the distinguishing significance of their distinctions.
upon performing it live, during an open mic session, a consideration of the social appropriateness of mother's day arose and "these voices ring" is now offered to honor any form of truly loving and developmentally sensitive and generous parenting.
