EFV records exercises and other patterns of exemplary discipline that forge, and are honored by, the Ehnian spirit. The Kata volumes portray models of these disciplines that are embraced for being archetypal in their guiding and mentoring inspiration, and that encourage mastery of one's authenticity; distinction; and agency in life. Kata is a system of training in the martial arts and, because the rigors of this training extend into every dimension of living, it is adopted by the Ehnian personality as the protocol for their studies and lessons in self-actualization, which are referred to as "kata dtao".
