After our Little Baldy Hike, we decide to cool off with a swim, so we hop in the car and head toward Hume Lake.
A few miles down the road we spot a bear browsing in a lush green meadow
It's a mama bear, she's got 3 cubs with her.
We make it to Lake Hume, which is blissfully empty of other humans,
and take a swim.
We hear the "scree" of raptors and we see a pair of bald eagles --
one adult, one juvenile -- soaring high overhead. They're so high in
the sky it's nearly impossible to get a photo. This shot of the adult
is the best we can manage.
