Family Room![]() The brick built-in holds a gas fireplace, a TV and a component set. Above the fireplace is another accent wall at the back of a display niche. The hardwood floor was cut to accommodate a set-in carpet. Against the light wood of the floors and kitchen and the light of all the windows, the richness of the red brick and deep green (look, Mom -- more green!) add a richness and a cosiness to the room. Behind the couch on the left you'll see the half-wall that separates the family room from the hallway, yet leaves the sense of open space. ![]() This is taken from the angled hallway to the left of the entranceway and front door. On the very right side of the frame is the door leading down to the basement, and the left side shows off the half wall defining that side of the family room. I love the angles they cut in the floor for the carpet! The big windows directly across look out over the Front Range mountains.
