Neil - I will buy you mexican food if you make me the director of a
feature length motion picture.

Martha - I will buy you Vietnamese food if you make me an actor in
your full length production

Maure - I will buy you a really good hot dog if you make me the Pope

Pamela - I will buy you Tim Tams if you make me Penn and Teller's
victim/assistant

Adam - I will buy you Pez for no good reason

Ooops! And I even posted yesterday, and forgot to say Happy Father's
Day! to all you daddy types. Sorry. Hope you had a lovely day.

We spent the weekend with the bestest band ever. Why are they the
bestest band ever? Because they are the only band I know who bring me
& Debbie a CD of the first four songs from the next CD, which won't be
out until September. They utterly and totally rock. They played a
couple of pretty good sets this weekend, too.

And this CD will kick huge amounts of ass. Mark my words.

I have no power over the staged reading of whatever play they get me to
write, and after that, I have no power re getting it fully staged!

But I do like good Vietnamese food.

Mary: and you're gonna share that demo... right?

*whimper*

In other news, I made my hair more blue tonight, and will have a
second interview with Allison Mack (Chloe) from "Smallville" up this
week (um... soon as I transcribe the sucker. I got a little distracted
this week-end), for them what watch "Smallville." Woo!

And pics from various Unusual Suspect activities (including unca neil
and Miss Maddy at Printer's Row) from the last month or so can be found
here:

Hrm, obviously sucking up to playwrights is the wrong tack to take.
Fortunately, Martha, I like you so I'll buy you food anyway!

Great pics Maure!

Me so tired. Actually got out of rehearsal at 10 last night, but then
went out for drinks until midnight.
I am a damn fool...

Is it possible to still be shell shocked by Vegas three days later? I
still feel a little wobbly about my sense of reality.

Michael: Well, sort of. I was thinking more "sur" as in "Le singe est
sur la branche." Over, above, super--as in wayyyyy above and beyond
the call of reality.

Maure: I'm so sorry I forgot to tell you to feel better soon. And...
"half-baked kid" and "fresh-out-tha-kitchen banana bread"... teehee!
But I'm only doing it for your good. You must confront your weakness,
grasshopper, so as to overcome it, or learn to deliver it a Flying
Trinity kick in the a**.

DanW: Prerequisites: the *white* Tim Tams, and quantities of
fire-proof red lipstick. Then we'll talk.

Tara: Yay for blue hair! And thanks for sharing the pics. And good
luck with the interview!

...and I still don't want to work, either.

Pam - (753) How frightening is it that I didn't even blink (nay,
nodded heartily in agreement) over Elise's bunnies vs. duckies quote?
(Incidentally, the bunnies work great if you don't mind wasting
toothpicks as props)

Egads, y'all are prolific when I take a break from posting.

Maure - Banana bread? Why does this sound like a conversation I had at
work recently?

Brief update - um... yeah, I have no idea what to say these days.
Between work, lack of anything to do at work, lost sleep because of old
crotchety rat (and allergies of the same), settling in, throwing
things away (trust me, that wipes me out!), recording all the videos
onto DVDs, running a good proportion of the fundraising for the
Thunderdome, playing EverQrack (blame the boy), Buffy, DS9, posting
here and posting to afn-g, I've been keeping a little busy... and I
haven't even started on my own Burning Man stuff yet, which I really
need to do soon (like now).

But I'm still alive, missing you guys, missing stalking expeditions
(no ComiCon for me - too broke), missing sanity, missing a table (how
do you lose an entire table?), and soon to be missing the last of the
rodent clan (she's very old, very paralyzed on one side due to stroke,
completely blind, still a bit bitey, and it's about time - she's had a
good little run). Trying to look at it all positively, though I'm very
broken up about the whole thing.

On the whole, though, life is going alright, and will be better once I
get the burning man stuff going.

Hopefully posting more frequently again,
squeaks,
who will next get a cat that squeaks - no more 2-year pets.
