Looks pretty interesting.

Our esteemed guest Ms. Vale - <vard> - and conversation leader
<paulbel> committed to a two week discussion, a commitment which
expires today.

The end of the commitment doesn't have to be the end of the
discussion, if they and others have more to say.

However the "official" discussion ends here, and thanks to all
who've participated.

Thank you, Ms. Vale. This has been a wonderful experience.

And I'm still here if the conversation is still happening.

Thank you! My book just arrived, so I can say with confidence:
great cover!

Thank you, <sumac>! I love that cover too.

The first time I saw that portrait I just knew that that was my
Henry Fitzwilliam.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Achille_Etna_Michallon

In fact, I recently found another portrait from the same era, this
one of a young woman, and found myself wondering if I could write
something just to use it as my cover art.

And thank *you* so much, <paulbel>!

This was such a fun experience for me. I hope you enjoyed it half as
much as I did.

I'll check back in a day or two to see if anyone has any more
questions or comments. My teaching term starts tomorrow and
Wednesday, though, so I might be a little distracted! %^>

Ms Vale, it was a delight to meet you. And always fun to reconnect
with <vard>

I regret that I bought the Kindle edition, and not a dead tree copy
that you could sign. But I look forward to the next releases.

I'll hang around while you enter the groves of academe. May you mind
your Regency manners, keep your sharp Austenian wit, and come back
with new material, soon.

Thanks for an introduction into a new world. That blog based book
tour was a trip! Best with taking this novel to the next level…
Movie! Broadway play! TV series, or maybe a sequel… whatever!

I told this to Vard when I'd just finished the Colonel's Brother: I
can really see this as a movie.

Here's my podcast interview with <jonl> and his partner Scoop
Sweeney! It was fun. I hope I didn't embarrass myself too badly.

I realized after the first five seconds that I'm sitting in front of
a nameplate that has my real name on it.

So much for pen names!

Ah, but we can’t see that on the podcast, Stephanie Vale (wink
wink).

Enjoyed that. What a great voice you have!

Oh, thank you for saying that. I think I sound awful. Always have.

It's reassuring to hear an unsolicited comment to the contrary!

Your voice is fine. Your conferencing equipment gives its sound a
harsh edge.

My partner Scoop has what we often call "the voice of God," a
cultivated radio voice. I sound raspy and weird by comparison. But
I've learned to tolerate the sound of my voice... argh.
