In 1986, on Art Com Electronic Network on The WELL, I invited WELL users to contribute information to Bad Information, a database that called attention to our tendency to accept computer-produced information as true. The resulting collaboratively produced satire brought the WELL community together to creatively author over 400 responses to the concept of truth and untruth and resulted in one of the first works of net art.
